What is ChatGPT and How to use ChatGPT and Limitations

ChatGPT is one of the most trending topics right now. It’s been less than a month since its release, and people’s minds are being blown with what it can do.

Before we going to know what is ChatGPT, lets know some facts about google search and its impact on today internet world

Search is an area that is dominated by Google Search, which runs around 99,000 search queries per second and it is 8.5 billion searches per day with market share of around 92%

Google revenue share by google search engine is more is around 57%. But this business is possibly affected by new technology called Open AI ChatGPT.

Let know what is ChatGPT and how its going to impact on Google business

What is ChatGPT:

ChatGPT 1m users

GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a type of language model developed by OpenAI
It generate human-like text by predicting the next word in a sequence. ChatGPT is a variant of GPT specifically designed for conversation and chatbot applications.

ChatGPT is one of the most trending topics right now. Its also breaking records with over one million users signed up in just five days faster than Netflix, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

No longer will you be Googling the answers to problems. Chat GPT gives breakdowns off them in fine detail with explanations exactly

It’s built by the same people that are behind open AI, which are now shaping some really interesting technologies. They’ve been building powerful engines like Codex, which is the engine behind Github co-pilot, something that many of the software engineers are already using in our day-to-day coding.

In case you didn’t know, Open AI ChatGPT is entirely free

Founders of ChatGPI

ChatGPT, OpenAI  is a research organization that was founded in 2015 by a group of individuals including Elon Musk, Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, Ilya Sutskever, and Wojciech Zaremba with an investment of one billion.

The organization was founded with the goal of advancing artificial intelligence in a responsible and safe manner, with a focus on developing and promoting friendly AI.

Later in 2018 Elon Must resigned as director but continued his investments in OpenAI,  Microsoft also invested One billion in this is organization.

Since its founding, the organization has attracted a number of investors, including Microsoft, Reid Hoffman’s charitable foundation, Khosla Ventures, and others.

How ChatGPT Works:

This will make people question just how relevant Google will be in the coming future.
Let see what exactly is ChatGPT? and What makes it so powerful?

  • Example-1:

Suppose if you want to travel Paris visit some exiting places. And when you google search for “What are the best site seeing in Paris”.

You end up with hundreds of recommendations from different websites and Youtube channels. You might need to spend half day to go through different sources and figure out your tour plant.

But when you query the same in ChatGPT, it searches all over the internet using AI generated system engine and get you the best results to plan your Paris tour.

  • Example-2:

You are a javascript Developer and you want to know how to code for email validation?

When you search for in google, you need to go through many blogs and articles and find out the right code for javascript email validation.

But ChatGPT not only gives you the exact code for email validation which you can literally copy and paste in your application.

ChatGPT example2

The first thing I wanted to do is to see if it could tell me what javascript or How to cook pasta. And it gave me a pretty sound answer,
Not only that if I ask, if it could give me a hello world function.
The function in such a manner that I could literally copy paste set out, but it also explained the function to me.
And this is really just the beginning. And here is where things get interesting.

  • Example-3:

Another interesting feature with ChatGPT is if have any program code with errors, just give it to ChatGPT and it prompts you back with code bug fix along with explanation. How cool it is, isn’t it?

I’ve been working on a small application, and I was getting an error that I couldn’t figure out. I decided to copy Paste this error into Chad Gpt to see what it would say.

When I copy pasted this straight into chopped GPT,asking if it could fix the following code for me.
What I received back was my code fixed.

Not only that ChatGPT went through and gave me the code to copy Paste and even explain to me exactly what was wrong, why it was wrong and how it was fixed. I had written my return function incorrectly,

  • Other examples.

Even extending out classical artwork chat GPT is therefore a way of prompting an AI to solve or answer a question or a prompt in a human like manner very different from anything else seen before.

This can sound scary. especially to organizations like Stack Overflow, which pride themselves on solving problems with human related answers.

They’ve actually gone as far as banning chat GPT out from their systems. This is because they want to build a level of trust on there.

And if people simply copy paste answers from GPT without any references that might break that level of trust.
This is all quite interesting.

But let me have a look at ChadGpt under the hood by actually using it and seeing just how useful it will become as part of our day to day lives in development as well as any industry.

What makes it special

  • OpenAI  language processor built on training of billions of words on the Internet.
  • It is expected to be the largest and most powerful AI language processing to date with 175 billion types of parameters. 300 billion words are stored in its system.
  • Apart from answering to our questions like humans, it is also very accurate in translations.
  • Instead of just listing the answers to the questions like Google Search… it writes down the answers in an easy-to-understand format.
  • ChatGPT Also writes new essays or research papers on any topic. If we give the topic, it writes new poems and letters immediately.
  • It can also understand and respond to different languages spoken by humans. chatters just like humans talk
  • Chatbots are already available to answer consumer queries. But their scope is very limited. This ChatGPT is fast and answers whatever is asked just like the man sitting opposite.

Google worried about ChatGPT?

If you ask something in Google, a list of links will appear in a row.

If you ask the same ChatGPT… without giving links… it explains the topic in detail in a human like manner . That’s why the concern is that if it becomes fully available, the dependence on Google Engine will decrease.

“It’s like Google is done! Maybe in another year or two, artificial intelligence is going to disrupt Google”

How Google damaged the Yellow Pages… ChatGPT is going to do the same thing to Google,” Gmail developer Paul Buchet warned.

It is reported that CEO Sundar Pichai has encouraged his artificial intelligence teams to come up with new software that goes beyond ChatGPT and gives answers with figures, not just conversations.

Limitations of ChatGPT.

There are a few limitations of ChatGPT:

  1. Lack of common sense: Language models can generate human-like text, but they do not have a real understanding of the world or common-sense knowledge. This can lead to them generating nonsensical or inappropriate responses in certain situations.
  2. Bias: Language models are trained on large datasets of text, which can contain biases present in the data. As a result, language models may generate biased or offensive responses in certain situations.
  3. Limited context: Language models are trained on a large amount of text, but they do not have a long-term memory or a way to keep track of context from one conversation to the next. This can make it difficult for them to carry on a conversation in a natural and coherent way.
  4. Sensitivity to input: Language models can generate human-like text, but they are sensitive to the specific words and phrases that they are given as input. This can make it difficult to generate responses that are relevant to the conversation or that follow a logical train of thought.

Overall, while ChatGPT and other language models can be very useful tools for generating text and carrying on conversations, they have limitations that should be taken into consideration when using them.
