All You Need To Know: WhatsApp Is Working On Pinning Messages within Chats
WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app owned by Meta, is reportedly working on pinning messages within chats and groups. Users can now prioritize important messages and keep them at the top of their chat list for easy access.
“The feature is still in development, but we can preview how a pinned message will look within a conversation once the feature is fully developed and released in the future,” WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, reported.
According to the report, in order to pin a message, choose the “Pin” action from the message options. When a message is pinned, a small icon appears on the chat bubble to indicate that it is pinned, and the message is displayed at the top of the conversation for quick access whenever needed.
The ability to pin messages to the top of chats is useful. It will make it easier for everyone in the chat to find important messages later on. Furthermore, pinned messages help to organize group chats.
According to the report, pinned messages help us keep important messages easily accessible and everyone focused on the most important things.
The ability to pin messages is in the works and will be included in a future app update, according to the company.
In related news, the meta-owned messaging app has issued a bug fix update for an iOS notification issue.
Some users reported on Twitter that they were having trouble receiving WhatsApp notifications, preventing them from being notified of new messages. However, it appeared that this problem was limited to the business application.
According to the report, the fix for notifications is available after installing the most recent update of WhatsApp for iOS from the App Store.
