Oscars 2023 Winners: The Complete List

Oscars 2023 Winners: The 95th Academy Awards were held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night. “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert is a proudly weird sci-fi film, that swept most of the top categories, including best picture and directing.

Michelle Yeoh, the film’s star, won the best actress award, becoming the first Asian actress to do so. Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) won the other lead acting award, also a first-time winner. (Perhaps the biggest winner of all is A24, the studio that produced both of those films.)

Previously, “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” won for best-animated feature; Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis, both first-time Oscar winners for supporting roles in “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once”; “Navalny,” which won for best documentary feature; costume designer Ruth E. Carter, who became the first Black woman to win two Oscars (this time for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”); “All Quiet on the Western Front,” which received several awards in the first half of the show, including best international feature, production design, and cinematography; and Sarah Polley, who received the award for best-adapted screenplay for “Women Talking.”
