China’s automotive manufacturer (Great Wall Motors) will launch its vehicles in India for the first time. With this, the business is poised to enter the Indian electric vehicle industry. Great Wall Motors will debut some SUVs as well as the Ora R1 electric car at the Auto Expo. The company advertised it as the cheapest automobile in the world. The Ora R1 will be able to connect to the Artificial Intelligence System simply saying “Hello Ora.” With the Ora R1 electric car, the company guarantees three years or 1.20 lakh km or eight years or 1.50 lakh kilometres.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR EV

Maruti Suzuki will release its first electric vehicle based on the Waggon R in early 2021. The next Maruti Waggon R EV will support normal AC charging, which will take approximately 7 hours to recharge the battery pack. DC fast-charging is also envisaged, allowing the battery to be charged to roughly 80% in under an hour. A real-world driving range of roughly 130 km is also anticipated. The firm has not disclosed the pricing of the Waggon R EV, although authorities have hinted that it will not be cheap.

Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra & Mahindra revealed their aspirations to define the ‘Future of Mobility’ at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Future of Transportation is a presentation of Mahindra’s technologically sophisticated sustainable transportation solutions that aim to fulfil consumers’ demands and desires. Mahindra has delayed the release of the eKUV100 until early 2020, and the car will now feature an improved electric powertrain producing 40kW (54.4hp). The battery can be charged in 5 hours and 45 minutes with a conventional charger or 55 minutes with a fast charger. The sole drawback appears to be the battery’s 15.9kWh capacity and the claimed maximum driving range of roughly 120km.

Tata Altroz EV

Tata has unveiled its premium hatchback “Tata Altroz” coupled with an EV option at the 2020 Auto Expo. The ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Architecture was used to design the Tata Altroz EV. The new platform’s lightweight, modular, and flexible design enables the production of different body types with a variety of engine options, including gasoline, diesel, and full electric. According to some rumours, the Tata Altroz EV will cost more than Rs 10 lakh.

Kia Soul EV

The Kia Soul EV, the company’s first electric vehicle, was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo and is set to go on sale in India. In terms of its electric form, the Soul EV shares its underpinnings with the Hyundai Kona electric, making it easier to bring the vehicle to the Indian market. The Kia Soul EV has a boxy shape and Kia’s characteristic tiger nose grille in front, which also contains the charging connection. 2021 Tata Tigor Electric Sedan

Tata, India’s largest automobile manufacturer, has introduced its new Tata Tigor Electric for the Indian market. Tata Motor, as previously reported, plans to deliver an all-new EV in the Indian market by the end of 2021. With its 26kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the new Tigor EV comes in more powerful models. Tigore can generate 75 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque with this battery pack. Tigor EV is equipped with Tata’s innovative Ziptron high-voltage architecture, which employs a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor capable of 75hp and 170Nm. These output figures allow for a claimed 0-60kph speed of 5.7 seconds.
